The MEAC is one of the premier conferences for African American college athletes and has been around since 1974. Its mission is to support and enhance the development of quality educational and athletic experiences for minority college athletes. However, its continued viability has been in doubt in recent years. Since the 2020/2021 academic year the MEAC has lost three members, while at the same time, the CAA has gained three members. This led to some speculation that the MEAC might be on the verge of dissolution. So the question I’d like to pose to you is “Do you think the MEAC will continue to exist, and if so, what do you think needs to happen to keep it afloat?”
