In front of 2,100 fans at Burr Gymnasium, the Bowie State men’s basketball team (9-7, 1-3 CIAA) pulled off a stunning upset victory over Howard (8-10, 3-0 MEAC) by a score of 76-73.
Warren Mouganda led the Bulldogs with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and a steal in the thrilling crosstown HBCU matchup, which was extremely competitive.
Victory Noboya and Justin Morrisey each scored 12 points in the victory over the Bison.
This season, Bowie State has defeated an HBCU Division I program twice. This past October, the Bulldogs defeated Hampton 73-71 in the exhibition match.
