Ta’Niya Latson’s 1st Team All-American Snub
I’m wondering if FSU women’s basketball player Ta’Niya Latson’s selection to the All-American second team was a snub. Latson led the nation in scoring, yet she didn’t make first team. On top of that, FSU beat Notre Dame in South Bend, which should have given Latson a boost.
Was the snub just about scoring? Was it because she didn’t do enough in other categories to merit first team All-American? Or is there something else at play? I’d love to hear what you think. Was it a snub, or was this just how the chips fell?
