NSU Women’s Basketball Giant Slayer?

This year’s NCAA Basketball tournament is already heating up, and the women’s bracket is full of exciting match-ups. Norfolk State’s women’s basketball team is up against the University of Maryland’s women’s basketball team in the first round.

Norfolk State was a Top 10 Mid-Major at one point, so they’re more than capable of sending the fourth-seeded University of Maryland Terrapins home early. NSU is lead by their dynamic point guard, Diamond Johnson, the MEAC‘s player of the year.
