Keith didn’t hold back on the Strike Season Podcast when discussing the NAACP’s “Out of Bounds” campaign aimed at SEC states and major college athletic programs.
According to Keith, “the plan was not well thought out,” arguing that the campaign calls on Black athletes to reconsider powerhouse schools without offering real alternatives or a long-term strategy. He questioned whether the NAACP has fully considered the impact on student-athletes, NIL opportunities, and even HBCUs located in the same targeted states.
Keith also challenged the leadership behind the movement, suggesting the organization may be “lacking leadership for someone else’s idea” instead of presenting a clear independent vision for change.
Will this campaign spark meaningful action or create more confusion for Black athletes and families navigating college sports?
