But that raises a bigger question: Did Jayden Daniels accomplish enough at LSU to warrant having No. 5 retired in the first place?** Or is LSU simply dealing with the consequences of the new NIL era?

Mark Walter bought controlling interest in the Lakers at roughly a $10 billion valuation, and now Josh Kushner and Bob Iger have agreed to purchase the franchise for a reported $12.5 billion. The crazy part? Kushner and Iger had also been exploring an NBA expansion team in Las Vegas. So was buying the Lakers actually the better—and perhaps cheaper—way to get into the NBA?
